A map of the landscape of consciousness
Which ideas about consciousness do you agree with?
Answer about a dozen claims — each answer also decides the claims that follow from it. See which theories match your thinking, then keep going for a deeper read if you like.
Not a personality test — there are no wrong answers, and more than one theory can align with you.

Answer claims. Watch the alignment move.
It starts with two quick “which sounds most right?” picks to find your neighborhood, then asks yes/no about specific claims — always the claim where your answer counts the most. Agreeing with a specific claim also agrees with the broader claims it implies; disagreeing with a broad claim also disagrees with the specific claims built on it. A few claims are direct opposites — agreeing with one means disagreeing with the other, and with everything built on it. Theories are scored by how many of their claims you agree with — never by elimination.

Explore the claims
Every claim below is linked to the broader claims it implies — general claims at the top, specific ones below. Select anything to inspect it.
Select any claim to inspect what it implies, what is built on it, and which theories affirm it. Arrows point from a more specific claim to the broader claim it implies. Hover or focus any node for its plain-language gloss. The graph is a reference map — quiz answers never cross out or change its nodes. Dimmed nodes are filtered out by the search above. Nodes marked ↔ have a direct opposite: agreeing with one means disagreeing with the other.

Alignment, not truth.
The quiz compares your commitments against each theory’s claims. A high score means a theory’s picture matches your intuitions — not that it is scientifically proven. Every classification comes from the claim graph above, which you can inspect, trace, and challenge.
